Before leaving the hotel this morning, Sekar and me who haven’t got a chance to feel the swimming pool were planned to swim after breakfast. Some photos from our relaxing time in Bintang Flores Hotel.
Today we were leaving Labuan Bajo using Merpati Nusantara Airlines to Denpasar, Bali. Denpasar would be our last meeting point for all of the trip’s participants. Putri Mutiara and Putri Pariwisata Indonesia NTB were leaving to Mataram, Nusa Tenggara Barat; Cak and Ning Surabaya were flying back to Surabaya, Jawa Timur; Gumilang and Sekar were extending to Bali for couple days; the rest were went home to Jakarta.
The flight from Labuan Bajo was delayed about an hour. We arrived in Ngurah Rai Airport, Bali at 2.35 pm. Waiting for the baggage from the aircraft until 3.00 pm. The airport was very busy that time, since we have to went out after baggage claimed to the departure lounge, we had to go through many security checking. Our baggage were actually already really late because the check in should be closed 45 minutes before departure time. The Lion Air flight JT032 to Jakarta supposed to be on 3.10 pm. Since our arrival in Bali, we already late. We ran into the aircraft after the baggage were checked in helped by the travel agent in the airport. From the airport officers until most of the passengers whom already seated in the aircraft were mad at us. The airplane were ready to take off, but they should wait for us, the last passengers onboard. I saw our baggage were just loaded to the plane not long time after we seated. What a first experience in a rush with connecting flight.
After all of the trip, all I can say is: You would be very well-known with Bali as one of Indonesian destination for tourism, but once you revealed the beauty of Flores Island and nearby, Rinca Island, and Komodo Island, you would never regret the money you’ve spent to reach them. For Indonesian people, Singapore and Malaysia visits were might be cheaper than Flores, but don’t you feel upset of haven’t visited your own land yet? There were 2:41 ratio between local compared with international tourists came to Flores this year. Go visit Flores 😉
The maginificent scenery would taught you the power of God, the sailing would opened your eyes of your tininess in the big world, the Komodo would left your heart not to hurt even the wildest animal, and the trip would never be forgotten for the rest of my life.
