Bali Day 1: Ngurah Rai International Airport, Nusa Dua, and Tanjung Benoa

KFC at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport, Jakarta

I departed from Jakarta using Garuda Indonesia GA438 to Denpasar, Bali on 7.30 am Jakarta Time. The flight was on-time so the travel time only took an hour and a half to reach Denpasar as the destination. i was pleased with the service of the flight and the physical condition about the aircraft. Since I seldom fly using airplane, but I know that this plane was new. The monitor in front of each passenger already built with the touch screen technology, so the passenger could choose whatever entertainment they wish to watch or hear conveniently, as they provide movies and musics. That’s all about our proud Indonesian airlines company.

Bali airport was located near the beach. Moved closer to the landing way, you would see the crystal clear seawater, so you’d be able to see the seabase. What a beautiful sight welcoming you to this paradise.

On 10.15 am Bali Time, I arrived in Ngurah Rai International Airport, Denpasar, Bali Province. Bali time was actually one hour behind Jakarta time, my origin city. The staff from Kayu Manis Nusa Dua Private Villas, which I booked, was already waiting for me, and picked me up to the villa. The villa only took about 20 mins from the airport using car.

The check in time is at 2.00 pm, and I arrived the villa about two hours before check-in time. So, I decided to grab my lunch at the ‘mall’, that the way they called this place. It named Bali Collection. There are many branded shops for clothing, many fine restaurants, many handicraft and souvenir shops, etc. All in 5-star-tourist price. I didn’t even dare to think about doing anykind of transaction here.

I enjoyed each single facility offered by the villa. It was amazing. For this 3-bedroom-villa type, they served you with 3 bedroom, a private jacuzzi, a private pool, living room, dining table, electric stoves, kitchen utensils, tropical fruits, snacks, 30-minute back and shoulder Balinese massage, 24-hour butler services (butler is the name for the escort during your stay), free limousine services within Nusa Dua and Jimbaran area, and many other facilities you would never regret. You should try this, at least once in your life.

Waiting for the sunset, I went to the beach, using the villa’s bicycle. The villa has their own beach, could be reached using bicycle, because it’s quite tiring if you walk by yourself.

On 9.00 pm in the evening, I was dropped by the villa limousine to the Tanjung Benoa. I walked about 2 km looking for the surroundings, dining restaurants, shops, etc. Tanjung Benoa area was actually the part of Nusa Dua. But, with different atmosphere, Tanjung Benoa offers more lifes, many international tourists.

About 10.30 pm, I were picked up and wrapped my trip for today. It’s been really tiring and fun!
